1.Programme description
This Program aims to cultivate high-quality innovative engineering talents who can meet the needs of social development and modern bioengineering industry requirements, master fundamental scientific principles, core technologies, process engineering, and design skills related to modern biology, bioengineering, and their industrialization, possess good professional ethics, engineering practice capabilities, self-learning and development skills, and are qualified to conduct new technology research, new product development, engineering design, as well as production, operation and management in fermentation, pharmaceuticals, food and related fields.
Graduates will meet the following requirements:
Scientific research: Independently conduct scientific research in the fields of biochemical engineering, biomanufacturing, biosafety, biomaterials, bioenergy, and biomedicine;
Product development: Apply fundamental scientific principles and technologies in biology and bioengineering to conduct product design, synthesis, and process optimization, ultimately developing bioengineering products that meet specific requirements;
Engineering design: Identify engineering issues arising during the industrialization of bioengineering process, propose solutions, optimize and design technological process;
Organizational management: Undertake organizational management for scientific research and industrialization projects in the field of bioengineering, or assume leadership roles in enterprises.

1.Programme description
The Advanced Innovation Center for Soft Matter Science and Engineering focuses on soft matter systems as its research subject. By applying multidisciplinary integration spanning chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, biology, and environment, it addresses critical scientific and technological challenges in energy, environment, and life science fields. The Program adopts an integrated science-engineering approach for talent cultivation, offering five primary academic tracks: Chemical Engineering and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science and Engineering, and Bioengineering.
The discipline of Bioengineering achieved significant milestones: it was granted the authority to award Master's degree in 2000, approved to establish a postdoctoral research station in Bioengineering in 2014, and gained the authority to award Ph.D degree in the primary discipline of Bioengineering in 2018.

This Program cultivates well-rounded professional technicians. Academic master's degree holders should possess a solid theoretical foundation and systematic expertise, have expertise in modern experimental synthesis methods and characterization techniques relevant to the subject, strengthen and permeate with materials, environment, light industry, petrochemical, life science, chemical engineering and other disciplines and have the basic theory and a wide range of knowledge of multi-disciplines, possess proficiency in reading specialized literature, good writing skills and the capability of international academic exchanges. 1.Programme description
The Advanced Innovation Center for Soft Matter Science and Engineering focuses on soft matter systems as its research subject. By applying multidisciplinary integration spanning chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, biology, and environment, it addresses critical scientific and technological challenges in energy, environment, and life science fields. The Center adopts an integrated science-engineering approach for talent cultivation. It maintains a research team of 19 full-time and 13 part-time researchers, including seven members of the US National Academy of Engineering and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. It occupies dedicated research and office space, and the completed Advanced Innovation Complex will provide an additional 20,000 square meters of internationally standardized research and office space. The Center is equipped with five advanced research platforms to meet R&D needs: Intelligent Synthetic Biology Platform, Aerosol and Haze Research Platform, Energy Materials and Devices Platform, High-Performance Computing Platform, and Nano-biomedical Materials Platform.
