The Preparatory & Undergraduate Program for Korean Students is designed for applicants from the Republic of Korea who require intensive Chinese-language training prior to entering undergraduate studies. Over the course of an eight-month curriculum, students complete foundational Chinese language and preliminary academic preparation, enabling smooth transition into the undergraduate program at BUCT.
Applicants must be graduates (or expected graduates) of a high school in Korea, or individuals recognized as possessing equivalent academic qualifications under relevant regulations. Applicants must be under 25 years of age.
Preparatory coursework is conducted on the BUCT campus from January to August. Students begin undergraduate studies from the start of the new academic year in September.
1.Admission is not affected by Korean university entrance evaluation criteria or CSAT results. Applicants who meet the basic requirements for studying in China and satisfy the university’s admissions standards will undergo advisor review. Successful candidates will receive an official undergraduate admission notice.
2.Students who pass both the CSCA Basic Competency Examination for International Students and the completion examination at the end of the preparatory period will be permitted to advance directly to the undergraduate program without additional evaluation.
3.All admitted students must participate in pre-departure preparatory learning designated by BUCT. Upon arrival, students will take a placement test and attend classes according to their level. Applicants with HSK proficiency may take advantage of more advanced foundational coursework in science and engineering.
4.A Korean program coordinator stationed at BUCT provides support to ensure that newly admitted Korean students adapt smoothly to academic and campus life.
5.Korean students demonstrating outstanding academic performance during the preparatory period may be awarded scholarships in accordance with university regulations.
6.Students from Korean high schools that have concluded sister-school agreements with BUCT may receive scholarship benefits and participate in joint programs related to global talent development, Chinese-teacher training, and student exchange.
